Committees

The business of the Institute is conducted through committees, membership of any committee (with the exception of the Executive) is open to any any IIAC member. Some committees, such as those responsible for membership and the website, are permanent. Others (for example, those currently discussing Cultural Planning, Facilities Planning, and the appointment of consultants) operate on an ad-hoc basis. Any member may raise any issue for consideration by the Executive which will then call for volunteers to committee to address the matter.

The Institute is mindful that committee members donate their time and therefore a dialogue can be established in whatever manner best suits the member, be it in person or, via the internet, the post or the telephone.

The Executive Committee is elected by the membership annually and then the offices of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are elected annually from and by the Executive. The Constitution of the Institute can be found on the website.
